Not trusting the GPS anymore.

My husband and I drove around looking for the Hancock Fabrics that the GPS said was supposed to be in a particular shopping center. We couldn't find it so we went into a Bed Bath and Beyond to see if maybe they knew. The sales associate at the front seemed like a good person to ask. So, I asked her if she knew where the Hancock Fabrics was. She thought for a minute and then said "Let me ask someone". Next thing I know, she's on the overhead speaking saying "Do we have any Hancock Fabrics?" I replied "No, no. It's a store. That's supposed to be in this shopping center." She didn't know about it. So we left.

We stopped in the A.C. Moore crafts store and I found an older woman who looked like she might know (no idea why I stereotyped her as the sewing type). She did know about the Hancock Fabrics though. She replied "Yeah, it closed about six years ago."

The GPS can sometimes be a pain in the ass.

Root canal--can you say fun?

I went into the dentist last week for seven (yes, seven) fillings. Let me make clear that almost all of them were old fillings that needed to be replaced, not new ones. Well, when he was drilling on the last one he hit nerve. So, I got a nice impromptu root canal. I was supposed to go back to the dentist in 7-10 days after that for my "build up" and fitting for my crown. Well, on day #8, yesterday, I was at work and eating a granola bar and yep, you guessed it, I BROKE off half of the root canal tooth. I kind of forgot about it, otherwise wouldn't have chosen the granola bar. I had to go in today to get a build up and told him to "make it strong" because I wouldn't be getting my crown until January as I had maxed out my dental benefit for the year. Last year I had two replacement crowns after maxing out my dental benefit and it ended up costing me a few thousand dollars out of pocket. I was not about to let that happen again! I sure hope dentists are a little less expensive in Raleigh.

So, it's a mush and soup diet until January. Not really, but it might help me lose a little weight. Maybe this isn't such a bad thing.
